NDS is committed to empower women in order to initiate struggle for emancipation of women from the yoke of obscurantism through awareness
raising, advocacy campaign and capacity building of the women because it believes that liberation from such obscurantism is only the right of getting
equal opportunities.
Program Goal
To improve socio-economic status of women in the country by undertaking as well supporting integrated awareness raising, advocacy and  women
development policies, programs and initiatives  for the increasing their access to resources, institutions and knowledge.
Program Objectives
a) To organize and mobilize women especially in rural areas through formation their groups and coalitions at gross root level.
b) To promote and protect women rights in the country by undertaking awareness raising, advocacy and capacity building initiatives.
c) To address gender- based discrimination and raise voice to reduce violence against women.
d) To advocate for greater reorganization, realization and protection of womenís economic rights and their role in the production.
e) To ensure and support womenís participation in political and decision-making process at all levels.
f) To promote womenís legal rights through legal awareness raising and legal aid and counseling to survivor of violence against women.
g) To initiate and support women for the improving economic conditions and rights especially land, food and employment.

Program Initiatives
At present NDS is implementing following two long-term projects with the support of Action Aid-Pakistan & Oxfam GB under Women Rights
1. Women Empowerment and Rights Program with ActionAid-since 2005.

4.  Flood Affected Womenís Empowerment Project with USAC
